Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between Polyaspartic and Garage Paint?

Polyaspartic is a two-part compound of Isocyanate and resin which produce an exothermic reaction when combined; the material begins to cure within 30 minutes of mixture, dependent on ambient temperature. The resultant coating is a tough, waterproof membrane with decorative qualities.

How much does the coating cost?

Prices are determined by the total area to be coated, and fluctuate from $5 to $10 per sq/ft. based on the condition of the concrete. Our free estimates are conducted on-site to ensure accurate pricing.

How long does it last?

When applied correctly and maintained normally, Polyaspartic floors stand up to years of use. We use high quality materials and back our product with a 10 year warranty.

How long will it take to complete?

Under normal circumstances, a two-car garage can be prepped and coated in a single day. The material will cure completely within a 72 hour cycle, ready to use as intended.

How do I maintain my Polyaspartic floor?

Maintenance is simple and infrequent. We recommend keeping rock salt and gravel off of the surface; driving over debris can compromise the coating. Spill cleanup is simple with a mop, squeegee, or garden hose.

Will it level my concrete?

Polyaspartic coatings are not designed to influence the slope, grade, or "pools" in a concrete slab in any significant way. The flake system is effective at camouflaging imperfections and our diamond tooling can smooth out the appearance of undulating concrete.

The Process

Profiling the Concrete

Surfaces are ground flat, cracks and pits are repaired, the entire area is vacuumed, and caulking is applied to all joints.

Base Coat

Tinted polyaspartic is applied to all surfaces before flakes are broadcast into the wet material.

Recovery

Loose flakes are gathered for recycling, flaked surfaces are scraped flat.

Top Coat

Clear polyaspartic is applied to all surfaces and rolled to a gloss finish.
